The company Vinhos Finos casa Garcia Ltda. Began in the year of 1997, when the brothers Alzemiro André e Iriane Cristina started studying in the Agrotécnica Federal Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek school in the city of Bento Gonçalves the course of Technology in Vineyards and Technical in Wines. Later in 1999 the younger sister Daniela also joined the course in Technical in Wines.

In July 2000 the young brothers just graduated started planting the first vines in Linha 7 de Castro in the city of Carlos Barbosa. In august 2001 were planted the Castas Cabernety Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, which in this last were also imported from Italy. On the following years were planted the Castas Merlot, Tannat and Chardonnay, the system of conduction of the vines was the Espaldeira Simples, that aims a better quality of the grapes and also of the wine.

The successive harvest of grapes demonstrated a good quality and a high percentage of sugar and after studies made in Uruguay and Italy began the construction of the vineyard to elaborate wines of high quality. The wine industry has today two types of wine and one sparkling wine 'moscatel' from the brand Cave D'Castro aiming always the elaboration with high quality products.
